Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 04 July 2026
These terms and conditions ("Terms") set out the basis on which Bool Audio sells goods to you through this website. Please read them carefully before placing an order. By placing an order you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Who we are
Bool Audio is a sole trader business based in the United Kingdom, designing and handmaking precision hi-fi components.
Contact: info@boolaudio.com
Postal address: 19 Crockwells Road, Exminster, Devon, EX6 8DH
Bool Audio is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged on our goods and the price you see is the price you pay (plus any shipping shown at checkout).
Ordering and how a contract is formed
When you place an order through the website, you are making an offer to buy the goods. We will acknowledge your order, but a legally binding contract between you and Bool Audio is only formed when we send you a dispatch confirmation email telling you that your order has been sent.
We may decline or cancel an order — for example if the goods are unavailable, if there has been a pricing or description error, if we cannot obtain authorisation for your payment, or if we reasonably suspect fraud. If we cancel an order after you have paid, we will refund you in full.
All orders are subject to availability. Our goods are handmade in small quantities, so stock can be limited.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and, because we are not VAT registered, do not include VAT. Shipping costs are calculated by destination and shown clearly at checkout before you pay. The price payable is the price displayed at the time you place your order.
Payment is taken at the time of order. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Your card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure payment fields and are never seen or stored by us. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your personal data.
Delivery
We aim to dispatch in-stock items within 3 working days of your order, unless stated otherwise on the product page. Some items are made to order and have a longer lead time, which we will make clear before or at the point of purchase.
Delivery timescales are estimates and are not guaranteed. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave us.
International orders: if you are outside the United Kingdom, you may be charged import duties, taxes or customs fees by your own country's authorities on delivery. These charges are your responsibility and are not included in the price or shipping cost you pay us.
Your right to cancel (14-day cooling-off period)
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.
To cancel, simply tell us of your decision by email at info@boolaudio.com before the 14-day period ends. You must then return the goods to us within 14 days of telling us you wish to cancel.
We will refund the full price you paid for the goods, together with the standard delivery cost, within 14 days of receiving the goods back (or, if earlier, within 14 days of you providing proof that you have sent them back). We may reduce your refund to reflect any loss in value of the goods caused by handling them beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us, and for taking reasonable care of them until they reach us. We recommend using a tracked and insured service, as the goods remain your responsibility until we receive them.
Made-to-order and bespoke items: the right to cancel does not apply to goods that are made to your specification or clearly personalised. Where a product is made to order, we will make this clear before you buy.
Cancellation form: you do not have to use a form to cancel — telling us clearly by email is enough — but if you prefer, you may copy, complete and send us the model cancellation form below:
To Bool Audio, 19 Crockwells Road, Exminster, Devon, EX6 8DH, info@boolaudio.com:

Returns, refunds and faulty goods
Your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are in addition to the cancellation right above. Goods we supply must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.
- If goods are faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described, please contact us at info@boolaudio.com as soon as possible.
- If you notify us within 30 days of receiving a faulty item, you are entitled to a full refund.
- After 30 days, you are entitled to a repair or replacement, and to a refund if a repair or replacement is not possible or is unsuccessful.
- Where goods are faulty or not as described, we will also cover reasonable return postage costs.
Refunds are made to the original payment method used for the order.
Guarantee
Our tonearms are supplied with a 2-year guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship, and we support the right to repair. This guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, accident, unauthorised modification, or normal wear. This guarantee is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights as a consumer.
Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, images, logos, designs and product photography — is owned by Bool Audio or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute or use it without our prior written consent.
Our liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any breach of your statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable at the time the contract was formed.
Governing law
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you retain the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law of the country in which you live.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one published on this page at the time you place it. Any changes will be posted here with an updated date at the top.
Complaints
If you have a concern about your order or these Terms, please contact us first at info@boolaudio.com and we will do our best to put it right.
